SKIN PEELING LEVEL 4

A highly effective treatment for advanced skin care that can help to reduce acne, scarring, wrinkles and sun damage to give the skin a clear and radiant appearance. We cover superficial and medium strength peels as deep peels are only carried out by medical practitioners.

This advanced course is for those with substantial beauty or medical qualifications and at least 1 years post experience in your own area of expertise.  Therapists must hold a Level 3 Qualification in Beauty Therapy which includes Facial Electrical Treatments or Level 2 with Anatomy & Physiology Level 3.

CORE UNITS

This unit explains the principles of professional client care when providing advanced non-medical aesthetic treatments.

This unit develops the understanding for the benefits and limitations of commonly available non medical aesthetic therapies and also knowledge of advanced contra-actions, hygiene issues and your responsibilities in delivering these treatments

On completion of this unit you will understand

  • The physiology of skin ageing
  • Advanced skin assessment,
  • Ageing Processes within the skin
  • Symptoms of ageing skin
  • Benefits and limitations of treatments and products considered to delay the ageing process

  • Safety and Hygiene Considerations when providing skin peeling treatments
  • Correct Client Selection for these treatments
  • Understand and perform the different types of peels, i.e. Alpha Hydroxyacids, Lactic Acid and glycolic acid at various strengths.
  • Relevant Anatomy , physiology and pathologies for cosmetic skin peeling
  • Consult, Plan, Prepare and Provide Cosmetic Skin Peeling treatments to the Face, Body, Back  and Hands.
